Employees that work with chemicals are more at risk for unwanted chemical exposures that can lead to illness or death. Almost 12% of all work-related deaths are a result of chemical exposure. One type of chemical exposure is a spill, so having a spill response plan in place is an OSHA requirement for creating a safe work environment.
