Designed to help your new professionals learn important skills that will reduce growing pains an help them succeed in your organization.

Program Experience

Does your company hire employees right out of college? Do you have new hires who haven’t worked in a professional/corporate environment before? Accelerate Your Growth is for you! This program was designed to help new professionals more nimbly be able to contribute to their new job. This 2-week (6-8 hours per week) virtual program includes self-paced readings and learning opportunities in a variety of formats, including eLearning, videos, articles, case studies, and job aids – all geared to inform participants of what may be expected of them starting on day 1 and help them contribute in a meaningful way.

Each week includes a facilitated virtual meeting including all participants, where we dive deeper into topics, review case study responses, and discuss best practices and challenges related to the weekly content. Participants will also have ability to communicate directly with program peers via online discussion forums.

Program Topics

Week 1: Preparation & Communication

Getting Ready for Success: How should new employees “show up” on day one and beyond? In this section, we’ll review tips for making a good first impression, learn the importance of understanding organizational and cultural expectations, review time management strategies, and learn how to minimize distractions and establish good habits.

Communicating with Others: This section covers appropriate use of various communication channels, the difference between formal and informal communication at work, and different communication styles. We’ll also review meeting etiquette, and effective notetaking.

Week 2: Building Relationships & Influence

Building Relationships: In this section, we focus on working with others – helping avoid political missteps, effective listening techniques, how to respond to conflict and workplace stress, and responding to conflict. In addition, we review tips for networking inside and outside of work, and the importance of professional mentors.

Promoting Influence: The final section is all about promotion of self and what your employees have to offer. Topics include positioning an idea, creating presentations, change and influence, and building a personal brand.

Coaching Sessions

Participants can also add on two 30-minute coaching sessions, one-on-one with the facilitator to discuss personal challenges, strengths and growth opportunities within their role, and answer questions and provide guidance.
